The Bulldog Leidseplein
The building that houses The Bulldog here used to be the former Amsterdam police station. To realize a dream and to play a joke on the city of Amsterdam the shop was opened on April fools day 1985, as nobody would believe that the cop-shop had turned into. The shop still resembles a police station and showcases some of the world's most notorious "gangsters" ever. A collection of police and criminal artifacts can be viewed, perhaps spending some time in the jail cells after visiting our "officer on duty". Celebrities are often spotted within the walls of this very famous coffeeshop.
